What is the R3D3 program - 3D Frame?

R3D3-Rama 3D is a program used to perform static calculations of spatial bar systems. The main assumption of the program is the ability to conveniently enter data in 3D mode. The solutions used in the program make it extremely simple and intuitive - the geometry of the system can be defined using only the mouse working with a three-dimensional structure model, of course, traditional keyboard data input is also available. Basic construction generators are available. The program includes a library of steel rolled sections. Drawing a fairly complicated system is a matter of minutes, calculations and data presentation are carried out in real time (for small systems - up to one hundred rods). The results are presented on the screen in graphic and numerical form. The layout view can be enlarged and rotated smoothly - it can be viewed from any position. You can export data to the RTF format accepted by most text editors. In addition, you can save the animation of the layout deformation.

The R3D3-Rama 3D program has numerous functions ensuring comfort for the user. The introduction of complex systems is facilitated by generators of basic structures (frames, arches). The authors took care of many amenities at the data entry stage, such as: automatic snapping to the grid and nodes, or the use of predefined profile libraries, which makes defining a complex system a matter of minutes. In terms of loads, the program allows you to define rectangular and trapezoidal span loads applied to the whole member, transverse and longitudinal. Concentrated loads in the form of force or moment can be applied to nodes. The program also allows you to define settlement of supports. When making calculations, R3D3 can automatically take into account the structure's own weight.

The program performs static calculations of spatial bar systems with constant bar cross-section length. Calculations and presentation of results take place in real time. The results are presented on the screen in graphic and numerical form. The layout view can be enlarged and rotated smoothly - it can be viewed from any position. The program animates the system deformation animation and allows it to be saved as an .avi file. To view results for a specific bar, just click on it with the mouse. A convenient slider is used to find the value of forces or displacements at a specific point, but the exact location of the point can also be entered directly from the keyboard. The data entered in the program and the results of the system calculations can be presented in the form of a report and saved to disk for later processing or printing. Reports are saved in the universal RTF format. They can be edited, e.g. in MS Word. R3D3 allows you to freely set the scope of the report and its form (fonts, frames, etc.).

The program's intuitiveness means that the included user's manual is not much needed. After the first minutes of working with the program, the user gets the impression that he is doing very well with it. Work in three-dimensional space provides the user with full control over structure modeling and loading, reducing the possibility of making a mistake to a minimum. Difficult and painstaking work related to the introduction of spatial systems almost turns into child's play, when optimized calculation algorithms allow visualization, calculations and analysis of the project in real time.
